US 290 Construction Inspection: Segments 4 and 5

  • US 290 Construction Inspection: Segments 4 and 5

Project Description:

Limiting intrusiveness was essential for construction of Hwy 290, frequently designated as one of the nation’s most congested highways. The Houston and surrounding area portion stretches 38 miles, hosts more than 200,000 daily commuters and includes five/six general purpose lanes in each direction, two-/three-lane frontage roads HOV lanes, multiple bridges (cross street and waterway) and bicycle/pedestrian improvements. For this corridor, our team worked closely with the design engineers and TxDOT to avoid adverse impacts to the area’s commuters. The portion inspection by the CivilTech team stretched from Antoine to West Little York.
