CivilTech Welcomes New Vice President John Perez, P.E., C.F.M., and Sr. Project Manager Tara Burrer, P.E.
June 2017 – CivilTech Engineering, Inc. announces that John Perez, P.E., C.F.M. has been named vice president to lead municipal and transportation
engineering operations for the San Antonio area satellite office and Tara Burrer, P.E. as senior project manager for the design and transportation
department in the Cypress office.

Perez joins CivilTech with more than 34 years of experience in the design and management of major highways, urban freeways, multi-level interchanges,
and city street projects in Texas. He has managed and/or designed more than $3 billion in major highway improvements for the Texas Department of
Transportation (TxDOT) and more than $500 million in city street improvements. His past experience with major design-build projects include SH
130, SH 183, IH 35E, and SH 249.
Burrer has 18 years of experience on public works engineering projects. Specializing in urban infrastructure; her extensive range of experience includes
projects involving roadways, storm drainage, water and sanitary sewer improvements, sidewalks, and traffic control plans. Burrer’s numerous project
responsibilities have included project management, program management, conceptual studies, schematic development, preliminary engineering reports,
and preparation of final plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&Es). She has in-depth experience with City of Houston Public Works and Engineering,
Harris County Engineering, TxDOT, and private utility companies.
